CHASE ELLIOTT
Hendrick Motorsports

New ride: No. 24 Chevrolet in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series for Hendrick Motorsports.
Previous ride: No. 9 Chevrolet in the NASCAR XFINITY Series for JR Motorsports.
The scoop: The son of NASCAR Hall of Famer Bill Elliott spent two seasons honing his skills in the XFINITY Series with the Dale Earnhardt Jr.-owned JR Motorsports outlet. The young driver burst onto the scene by winning two of his first seven races in the series en route to becoming the youngest driver to win a NASCAR national series title in 2014 at the age of 18. Now, he has the daunting task of stepping into the ride that four-time champion Jeff Gordon made famous, the No. 24 car. The Hendrick organization got Elliott’s feet wet with five Cup starts in 2015.
