October 1, 2017 By Reid Spencer NASCAR Wire Service DOVER, Del. – Call him the Grinch. Halloween may be the next holiday on the calendar, but Kyle Busch stole Christmas morning from Chase Elliott late on Sunday afternoon at Dover International Speedway. Running Elliott down from more than four seconds back in the last 40 laps of the Apache Warrior 400 at the Monster Mile, Busch powered his No. 18 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota around the outside of Elliott’s No. 24 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet and cleared him off Turn 4 as the cars approached the white flag. A lap later, Busch had…

Kearns NASCAR Wire Service LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Ben Rhodes took the lead on the final restart and held off Christopher Bell to capture his first NASCAR Camping World Truck Series career win in Saturday night's Las Vegas 350 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. It’s been a solid season thus far for you guys after the move to Ford. How would you evaluate your year? “It could’ve been a season to forget, for sure, but we’ve been fortunate to be competitive. Got Your Number: Hoss Ellington, Donnie Allison Made the No. 1 Famous

By Ben White Former NASCAR driver and team owner Ellington began racing in 1968. Over a 20-year period, he fielded cars for a “Who’s Who” list of drivers that helped to make NASCAR incredibly popular. All told, there were five wins, 53 top-fives, 92 top-10s and seven pole positions in 264 starts through 1988. Ellington’s driver in 1976 was Indy Car legend A.J. Foyt, having amassed 14 starts dating back to 1974. Ellington wanted to field two cars in 1976 and had the chance to hire NASCAR legend Donnie Allison for his second car. As fate would have it, Allison was the…
