The most recent winner at Richmond, Matt Kenseth has yet to win in 2016 despite his No. 20 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota being fast in almost every race. Richmond offers the former champ another good opportunity to break though.

Kurt Busch is the defending winner of the Richmond spring race, a race that was run on Sunday instead of Saturday night because of a weather postponement. This time, the race is actually scheduled for Sunday.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. comes to Richmond – where he’s a three-time winner but hasn’t prevailed since 2006 – on the heels of a second-place finish at Bristol where he battled back from major adversity.

Kyle Busch was undefeated in the spring Richmond race from 2009-2012, reeling off four consecutive wins. Despite a rough day at Bristol, “Rowdy” continues to impress in 2016.

Fresh off a dominant performance that culminated in a Chase-clinching triumph at Bristol, a confident Carl Edwards heads to Richmond – a track where won in the fall of 2013 with his former team, Roush Fenway Racing.
