By Ben White Bryan Kincheloe, tire specialist for Germain Racing and driver Ty Dillon, saw his first NASCAR race 22 years ago during at leisurely weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway. He traveled a long way from home to watch the Winston Cup guys fight for the win on the high banks of the 1.5-mile superspeedway. Kincheloe set out to pursue a career in law enforcement, receiving his degree in Criminal Justice from Kansas State in 1998. That was his career path until he realized his heart was in racing. Elimination Time: Four Drivers Will Have Their Championship Hopes Dashed

By Jared Turner For four Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series drivers, Sunday’s elimination race at Dover International Speedway is little more than a tune-up for the next round of the playoffs. That’s because Martin Truex Jr., Kyle Busch, Kyle Larson and Brad Keselowski are moving on to the Round of 12 no matter what happens. By Jared Turner Final Monster Energy Series practice at New Hampshire Motor Speedway caused quite the firestorm when NASCAR forced Joey Logano to sit out the entire 50-minute session for his car failing pre-qualifying inspection four times. This, of course, was hardly the first time Logano’s car has had trouble getting through inspection this year. Remember the spring Richmond race that Logano “won” but for all practical matters lost when NASCAR deemed the victory “encumbered” because his car flunked post-race inspection? Kurt Busch and Kasey Kahne Are in Trouble

By Jared Turner One quick look at the Monster Energy Series standings reveals a hard-to-miss fact: Kurt Busch and Kasey Kahne are in big trouble. With this weekend’s playoff elimination race at Dover looming, Busch and Kahne are 15th and 16th among the 16 championship-eligible drivers, respectively, and face such a steep points climb that they probably need to win on Sunday at the Monster Mile to advance to the next round.
