Kenseth Is Baffled By Kansas Disqualification

By Jared Turner On the verge of narrowly slipping into the Round of 8, Matt Kenseth saw his hopes of advancing go out the window in abrupt fashion at Kansas when he was disqualified from the race and forced to park for having too many men over the pit wall working on his car following his involvement in a multi-car wreck on Lap 198. By having seven men over the pit wall instead of six, Kenseth violated NASCAR’s damaged vehicle policy — resulting in automatic dismissal from the race. October 22, 2017 By Reid Spencer NASCAR Wire Service KANSAS CITY, Kan. – Martin Truex Jr. survived a restart penalty and an unscheduled pit stop to return to what has become a thoroughly familiar locale—Victory Lane—in Sunday’s Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway.
